Entries Due for BASE Prop House – Based Accounts

September 13, 2023 @ 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM EDT

Based Accounts
ERC 4337 and account abstraction hold promise for improving onchain user experiences, and we are excited to see them come to Base. We have partnered with a number of account abstraction infra providers for Base Goerli + Mainnet support, including Stackup, Zerodev, Biconomy, Pimlico and Gelato + Safe.

Example Projects
– Build a paymaster that gives free transactions based on certain criteria, e.g. owning a certain NFT.
– Build a smart contract wallet with new or improved features, e.g. work with Coinbase Wallet-as-a-Service to provide web2 auth experience for onchain interactions, or to serve as a recovery key or extra signer
– Build a dapp or interface that makes use of account abstraction to provide a user-friendly experience.
– Improve the ecosystem with, for example, an EIP defining a new wallet RPC that works for account abstraction wallets.

Submission Criteria
– This is intended to be retroactive funding: please submit completed work and suggest how you might continue to add or improve on your work
– Work must be deployed on or connected to Base and onchain summer in some way.
– We prefer work that is open source and free for others to use.
– Must be ERC 4337/Account Abstraction related.
– Must be deployed to or working with Base.

Who can submit?
To control for spam and be eligible to receive a grant, submission is limited to addresses with an ENS name, 0.025 ETH on mainnet, and to persons who are at least of the age of majority in his or her state or country of residence and are not legal residents of any OFAC sanctioned country or country subject to sanctions.

Official Rules and Grant Recipient Selection
All submissions must comply with these Official Rules.
1. Please note Coinbase reserves the right not to fund any submission that may cause, in Coinbase’s sole determination, legal, regulatory, or compliance risk or reputational harm to Coinbase. Any decision to not fund a top voted submission is at Coinbase’s sole discretion.
2. As the NFT is a free and open mint, we will be ensuring fairness after voting finishes to ensure the grant recipients meet the eligibility, submission, and selection criteria as stated in the Official Rules. We also reserve the right to select grant recipients different from those which may have received the highest votes in the event we believe there was voting manipulation.
3. Grant recipients will need to KYC with Coinbase via a W9 or W8 tax form. International winners may have 30% withheld from their winnings. We will only grant to individuals and entities.

This Round’s voters may have material interest or directly or indirectly benefit from proposals which are submitted. Voters shall apply their votes impartially and disregard any material interests or other potential conflicts of interests when reviewing a proposal.
