Welcome to the Lil Nouns Weekly Newsletter #18! ⌐◨-◨
I spend all week scrolling Discord and Twitter, so you don’t have to.

“What is Nounish?”
This is an ever-evolving question within the community. The best answer I’ve seen is “when you see it, you know it.” But I think it’s important to codify it more precisely (especially to attract new people). I liked 4156’s definition this week:
These are things I can definitely get behind — I’m excited to create positive externalities while having fun!

Alright, here’s what you’ll find in today’s post:
→ Social Updates – Discord bot
→ What is needed to go on-chain with a Prop?
→ Proposals
→ Prop.House: Round 9 → Open for Submissions
→ Around the Lil Community
→ Events
[One last thing – thank you to everyone who filled out the Twitter survey last week about the frequency and length of this newsletter; TLDR: we’re sticking with weekly and the same length!]
Alright, let’s dive in.
→ Social Updates – Discord bot
If you missed it, check out the “social updates” announcement on Discord. This helps make sure you don’t miss a post, and it also helps with growth across our Lil social accounts by engaging with these posts.
Another method is to turn on Tweet notifications for the Lil Nouners Twitter account.
→ What is needed to go on-chain with a Prop?
1/ Shout-out to my Saturn cousin Lil Mike Good for putting together this simple graphic around how many Lils are needed to put a Prop on-chain (it changes over time as more Lils are created):
2/ There was also another really good conversation around how we should start thinking about developing an idea internally at Lil Nouns, before taking it on-chain as a Prop for (big) Nouns, where we would use our 8 Lil Nouns votes to support that (big) Nouns Prop.
Lots to think through, but I’m excited to see Lils help “graduate” and support builders from within Lil Nouns up to Nouns.
Read the full discussion in Discord here (note: this discussion was in the Private—token-gated—channel).
→ Proposals
It was a quieter week for on-chain Props. One was defeated this week, and another is still live (though not yet at quorum, so go out and vote on Prop 61!)
One note: there was an error in using the v.1 Sablier Stream for the Newsletter Prop that passed last week, so when I went to execute it, it error’d out. 🙁
That means I’ll have to go back on-chain yet-again. Max pain. Please vote again this week — the third time’s a charm!
→ Prop.House: Round 9 → Open for Submissions
We will have 5 winners at 2ETH each. Only 15 proposals have been submitted so far, so get yours in for a good chance at getting 2ETH! The deadline to submit a prop is tomorrow (Oct 10th). Prop.House: Round 9
→ Around the Lil Community
1/ MotionDesign
MotionDesign continues to amaze and delight with their animations. Here is one of their latest (PS – follow @lilnouners if you’re not already):
2/ LilNouners Instagram
LilNouners IG passed 300 followers this week, and the content is amazing — be sure to give them a follow if you’re not already. Here is a post from the week, talking about GnarsDAO (we like the Gnars).
3/ The Lil Nouns Show
Join us tomorrow (October 10th)! And jump into the Discord conversation here if you’re interested in getting involved with the show and/or staying up to date.
4/ Get involved!
If you want to build during the bear, here are three great opportunities (even if you’re not a Lil Noun holder!)…
What are they about? Why did they past? How can I contribute?
That and more… below 👇
