Pausing Auctions
A “new” player just joined the conversation around book value, spending, and the direction of the DAO – an anon wallet recently proposed “Temporarily Pause Auctions”, a proposal with no other text and a transaction that pauses Nouns auction contract!
This of course challenges the motto of “One Noun, Every Day, Forever.”, but we all know this is already questionable given the Nouner reward, so how big of a sin would it really be? One can only try to imagine what pausing the auction would do for the DAO – would it lead to a rise in secondary sales? Would it threaten “the fork” (no new NFTs to be bought under book value)? An interesting debate will certainly follow.
